Carolina Tiger Rescue, one of their main goals is educating the public on the importance of preserving wild animals in their natural habitats.

Fearrington Village is a copy of a traditional English village and was established in 1974 by R.B. Fitch and his late wife Jenny after they bought a two-centuries old dairy farm from Jesse Fearrington. The community has grown to more than 1800 residents. The Fearrington House is an award-winning country inn and restaurant. The village also has a cafe and bar, chocolate and wine shop, a bookstore, a home décor shop, a garden art shop and more. Belted Galloway cows, added to the farm in 1983, are the village’s iconic mascot.

Lower Haw Creek Hiking Trail is a moderately challenging 7.9-mile out-and-back trail near Bynum.
